Snorkelling

Some of the skills I learnt while snorkelling we how to stop my mask from fogging, how to duck dive and blow the water out when I am finished. To stop your mask from fogging up you must spit it in each eye hole and rinse it with water, this prevents the fog from forming. While duck diving you must hold your breath and when you finsh the dive you come back out make your chin touch you chest and do a qucik harsh blow, this forces the water to flow out.

I saw plenty of seaweed, small colourful fish and a massive blue crab that was scuttling around. I also saw plenty of holes in the net where fish streamed in and out of the pool. We went snokelling in the local swimming pool and Flaherty's beach. It was great fun and it was nice, cool and refreshing. The visibilty was very clear as I could see everything clearly underwater. I could see my buddy perfectly underwater and the pictures that Paul took of us underwater were really clear beacuse of the visibilty. The best part was probably going snorkelling for the first time and feeling like a natural and doing so well. I wish i could do better on the duck dives as I struggle with those. My greatest challenge was after the duck dives when we had to blow the water out I could never quite do that instead I would suck water in. I also struggled in the tests we did at the pool where we had to swim and find our snorkels underwater, put them on and keep swimming.
